About me
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, NC and graduated from Southwest High School. I received the NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship and went on to complete my B.A. of History at Queens University of Charlotte. While I was in college I accumulated over 1,000 hours of professional experience in the classroom. Beginning with my freshman year of college I was placed into a classroom to observe, assist, and teach. Throughout this time I was placed in classrooms ranging from k-12. During the summer after my junior year, I partook in an international teaching internship in Sydney, Australia at Galston High School. Upon returning to the states I entered my senior year and completed my student teaching at North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, NC. After graduating from college I taught History at Southwest High School in Jacksonville, NC. Most recently, I taught 8th grade science at JCMS.
